Teenage Pregnancy
Everyday more than 3,000 girls find out they’re pregnant. Just imagine if you were one of these teens. Having a baby is one of the biggest changes that will ever happen in anyone’s life. The choice to raise a baby is also a life time decision, so before you go off and have sex think twice about the consequences that can happen like getting pregnant. Although the rate of teen pregnancy in the U.S has been declining, it remains the highest in the developed world. “Approximately 97 per 1000 women aged 15-19 become pregnant each year the majority of these pregnancies 78 percent are unintended” (RTP 1). Most teen mothers are less likely to graduate from high school and their kids are often born at low birth weight or experience health and development problems. Many teenage mothers also have choices to either keep the baby or have an abortion. But both are two difficult choices because they come with their consequences. One you have to deal with the fact of maybe not graduating and financial problems. Then you have abortions which cause a lot of mental and emotional problems like knowing you just gave a living life away. But it has it’s goods like you
they should be responsible enough to use protection like condoms or some type of birth control
