STAR-TREK, The Next Generation: The Dominion War Task number: 22; Write a book review for the newspaper Perhaps the most important quality of a good novel based on the Star Trek TV series, or for that matter on any TV show or movie, is the correspondence between the plot of the book and that of the source. One would expect at least a bit of harmony ... and accordance between the spirit of the loved science-fiction series and that of the books based on it. Although this book had several moments of suspense, I would not say that this is a masterpiece by any means. Perhaps the author simply does...

Restoration Drama In my opinion the restoration of the "Last Supper" by Leonardo De Vinci was necessary to salvage at least part of Leonardo's original work. I have always appreciated the character that years of patina add to furniture and probably would have appreciated the same in the "Last Supper". If I were to have seen it prior to it's restoration and was unaware of all the previous attempts I would have felt they should have left it alone and would have thought the restoration was too much. Keeping in mind that Barcilon did uncover some of Leonardo's original work was worth the restorati...

Yes I think that Schindler's List is a reasonable historical resource because it showes us what the jews went through and what it was like for them to be moved into concentration and extermination camps and ghettos. The film also shows us that not all Germans hated the jews as we see when Schindler makes his list and saves the jews that work for him. It is also a historical resource because the things that we see happen in the film and the things that Schindler did really happened. Schindler did make a list and the Schindler jews did survive the holocaust. Also the way that the jews were put i...

The Pine Barrens John Mcphee's "The Pine Barrens" is a unique descriptive novel, the novel deals with nature and all it's beauty. The story is easy to follow and easy to understand because it is being told through the eyes of a non-partial naturist. The novel was intriguing because it was so relatable to Philadelphia, the fact that the actually Pine Barrens are only about fifty miles away meant that whatever Mcphee experienced throughout the book was not far fetched form what I"d experience.
