... gain back the trust which I had broken with all my friends and family. I had gotten to a point where in order to commit this most selfish act I had to deceive everyone by living two lives. On the outside I was mildly disturbed yet functional, but on the inside I was living death. Death was my anthem, my solitude and my salvation. The only thing ... a rod of iron.
