Life

 

            Overall, there are many things about my life that I could change to lead a more healthy life. Not many people in my family have had the greatest record for living long lives because of poor decisions made since they were young till they died. Everyday on the news there are broadcasts about how most of America is overweight and dying daily from hypokinetic diseases (diseases related to a lack of physical activity). Much of this paper will be coming from facts out of my Wellness Management class that I take weekly. The class teaches how to eat correctly, exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and to make aware the dangers in not being physically fit. .
             I have always been very athletic and always enjoyed some kind of physical activity. The first month at Florida Southern College seemed to go by very quickly only because my day would start at 5:30AM and not end till 10:00PM. Every morning I was working out at the Wellness Center for two hours then go to class till 3:30PM. I was eating healthy, for example cereal for breakfast with fruits, lunch pasta, then dinner was whatever seemed edible at the cafeteria. I would not go out at all or stay out late, I was not consuming any alcohol, or really any bad habits. Then around the middle of October came around and some of my friends who I would go work out with became sick, in which I did not want to get up at 5:30AM to work out by myself. I stopped working out because then eventually I became sick for over two weeks. Since then the maximum that I have been working out is around two days a week. Now I have been staying out much later than before and I consume alcohol around three times a week. Also lately I have been getting in the bad habit of going to iHop around three in the morning with friends. So I will begin my conditioning for the golf team where I hope to quit the habits that I have formed over the last month. We will be doing weight training and starting to maintain a certain balance of what we should and should not eat.
