A year ago the people of California voted for Gray Davis again not knowing what a big mistake they were making. Davis didn't put California in bankruptcy, but he didn't do anything about it when the problem was getting worse. The black outs and the major problems from a few years ago created this situation in which California is in. Yet our governor did nothing and so the dept kept increasing while Davis just prayed for it to go away. We choose this man to protect California with the power we gave him and if he is not using it then he must go. We all know what happened can not be changed but if Davis made the mistake he should be punished for it (Yes).
This huge problem in California will affect each family and each student as well. Schools will have to cut down on books, air conditioning, electrical items and increase class room sizes. The more students and fewer teachers will become a very bad environment in the schools. Students won't get as much attention as they should. They will not be able to show their talent and try their hardest to learn the knowledge being giving. Less books and paper items will make it hard for teachers and students. They will have to share books and teachers would run out of paper to give to the students for homework. The black out, and California choosing the wrong governor could cause California a load of dim-witted kids, who are going to be the future. So before something like that happens let us hurry up and kick this guy of the chair he never will deserve.
Davis, to his benefit, did not tell the people of California about the debt because he was waiting for the elections. He basically lied to the people by saying he won't raise taxes or cut down on any programs but once he won the election he announced the crisis, all of California was in debt for $35 billion. Yet he has not taken the responsibility as governor to solve this massive catastrophe. Yet he had a solution and that was to raise taxes, cut down on public programs and also cutting on education.
