Love

This is a story about an old king and his three daughters. The king's name is Lear while the names of her three daughters are: Goneril, Regan and Cordelia.
King Lear, being old and tired of the business of his kingdom wished only to end his days near his three daughters. Two of his daughters were married to the Dukes of Albany and Cornwall; while the Duke of Burgundy and King of France were both suitors for the hand of Cordelia. .
One day the king called on his daughters and told them that he would divide his kingdom among them, but first they should tell him how much they love him.
Goneril, who does not love her father at all, said she loved him more than words could say, more than beauty and more than life.
Rgan told her father that she loved him as much as her sister and more for she only think of his fathers love.
Lear was very much pleased with Regan's professions, and turned to his most beloved, Cordelia, the youngest. He asked Cordelia what she can say. Then Cordelia said: "Nothing my Lord.".
Then Lear said: "Nothing can come of nothing .Speak again".
Then Cordelia answered: "I love your Majesty according to my duty---no more no less.".
And this she said because she was so disgusted with her sisters professions when in fact they don't love there father at all.
Because of what Cordelia professed, her father sent her away with nothing.
Even if the Earl of Kent, one of Lear's favorite courtier and captain tried to say a word for Cordelia's sake, but Lear would not listen.
When the Duke of Burgundy heard that Cordelia will have no share of her fathers kingdom, he gave up his courtship. But the King of France was wiser and took Cordelia and married her.
Goneril and Regan took everything of what was left to their father and drove him away. King Lear left them with the Earl of Kent as his companion.
When Cordelia knew what had happened to his father, her husband gave her an army and landed at Dover.
