This is used to make the reader feel comfortable with the product. .
The Leader Brand Broccolini advertisement again focuses on health and nutrition to sell its product. The advertisement repeats the words relating to health throughout the advertisement to make it clear to the reader they are very healthy. In the sentence "Both these delicious vegetables are tasty and good for you" the advertisers use "delicious" as an hyperbole to make the product sound even more appealing and overstating the products value. Also in the sentence "The Tastiest Green Vegetable Ever" hyperboles are used with the words "Tastiest" and "Ever". Again a pun is used with the main heading, "Don't Drop Them In The Deep End! Throw Them on Top". This is telling readers not to forget about the product but put them above others. It is also making a reference to they way Broccolini is cooked. "Don't Throw Them in the Deep End" is referring to them being boiled in water whereas "Throw Them on Top" is referring to being steamed, steamed being the more healthy way to cook them as noted in the small text. The use of rhyme is also used effectively in the advertisement. "From Garden Gate to Dinner Plate" is used to emphasise the fact the product is natural and straight from the garden. This also is used for comic effect and memorability. The use of alliteration is used with "Sweet Slender Stems" this is used for a comic effect and again for memorability purposes.
In the Hansells advertisement a large visual image or spoons with yoghurt on them is used to draw the readers attention. The large heading "Who's For More"? Contains a contraction used to create the idea that the advertisers are chatting informally to the reader. The heading is also a rhetorical question used to make the reader feel that he or she is involved. The large heading is repeated at the bottom of the advertisement as it is Hansells slogan. The slogan and the repetition are both used for memorability purposes.
