A Discussion on Illegal Immigration

I feel like it would not be any stretch of the imagination to assume everyone would like to live a privileged life. Maybe that's why so many people move to the United States of America. After all, we have many privileges here that are unavailable to other people around the world. These privileges are basic things like running water and sewage systems all the way to more intangible things such as freedom of speech, press, and religion, as stated in the first amendment of the US Bill of Rights. However, the citizens of our country are facing the rapidly expanding social and economic issue that is illegal immigration.
Now, there are about 11.3 million undocumented immigrants residing in the United States of America, and each person has a different story as to how they got here, where they're from, and how they're coping with living in a country so different from their original home. For the purpose of exploring the impact of illegal immigration, let's come up with a scenario here. For instance, say a family of four (a mother, a father, and two children) come to the US illegally from Mexico and decide to settle in the state of Texas. To reach Texas coming from Mexico, they will have to cross the wide Rio Grande, which is the river that creates the boundary line between Texas and Mexico. Can you imagine an entire family making such a trying journey without losing any members?.
So say that the family of four does make it to the other side. What will they do from there? They need a source of income, a roof over their heads, and an educational plan for their children, and that's where the problems start. In order to afford housing, they must have some way of obtaining money. Therefore, someone in the family must find a job. Most families will have both parents working, and in some cases, one of the children maintaining a job also, because the majority of jobs given to illegal immigrants are lower-wage occupations that require relatively little formal education.
