The Importance of Volunteer Service

The pleasure that I felt of being useful to someone it was essential to make me feel grateful for my life. This kind of pleasure that I felt every time that I went there to help them was essential to make my day. Nevertheless, people cannot enjoy this feeling if they do not give the opportunity to their self to help someone without expect nothing back. Once they start to do volunteer service the feeling of satisfaction will grow inside their heart day by day. The volunteer service is an activity that can really provide joy and also has a power to transform people, especially college students who are in process of discovery to go to adulthood. When students have a free time they avoid to use it doing volunteer work because they do not know how good volunteer work can be for them. They of most the time are stressful with their obligations and they see volunteer service like a stressful job. However, once they start to doing volunteer work they will realize how it can help them and consequently they will be relieved by the satisfaction of help someone for free. .
             Most college students do not know which carrier they are going to choose. It is really common to students choose their major after two years after started to attending classes. For that specific reason, a volunteer job can help them to discovery in what carrier they have to fallow. In his article, Dave Eggers tell us how important can be to student to do volunteer work because it can directly help them to discovery any inclination to a specific area in their majors and also it can assist them to choose one. Egger says, "A college history major might learn something by tutoring a local middle school class that's studying the Underground Railroad. A connection would be forged; a potential carrier might be discovery". (31) .
             The volunteer service can also create a network of people that will help students to learn about carriers and to make connections to find a job opportunity.
