             Motivation is lost in employees for abundant reasons. Motivation is an area that needs to be explored continuously in order to fully achieve desired results from employees. Basic fundamental managerial skills to motivate employees consist of sponsoring motivation lectures, making sure employees know how they are a part of the new acquisition, emphasize benefits of the new acquisition and how it will benefit employee, creating incentive programs, and, if possible, give employees insight on upcoming changes. .
             Human Elements and Issues.
             Mergers cause many common corporate internal societal impacts. As management we will need to examine the negative implications of mergers and acquisitions. Anticipating the human elements and issues that may arise out of the acquisition and to communicate with the employees timely and effectively is of importance.
             There are several human elements that accompany merger activity such as misperceptions, loss of security, job uncertainty, drop in productivity, and nonconformity. Employees may have concerns in dealing with changes in reporting relationships, and in the loss of control over one's professional life. These elements should be understood and addressed in mergers preferably prior to any resulting issues. .
             Possible issues derived from the human element can range from striking or loss of employees, drop in production, and negative attitudes. The employees that interface with customers may portray a negative attitude towards the company, crating a negative impression on the customer. The way in which management handles the transition will have a long-term effect on the employee's morale and consequently, customer service. Merger corporations may also find that the very employees they most want to retain are the first to leave.
