Guard Patrol is another essential security device. These include visual inspections by irregular patrol through office spaces or an industrial complex, or constant CCTV surveillance of these same areas, are vital to the success of security.
Every business should have an alarm system, and there are a few different types to chose from. Intrusion alarms signal the entry of persons into a facility or an area while the system is in operation . Fire alarms operate in a number of ways to warn of fire dangers in various stages of development. Special-use alarms warn of a process reaching a dangerous temperature, of the presence of toxic fumes, or that a machine is running to fast.

In this section I will give a detailed description of my observations of the location of my choice. I have included a checklist to help follow my findings. I will also give a brief rundown of what may be included in the security of the business to better ensure the protection of the employees, consumer, and products.
For my research I chose an Industrial Manufacturing Plant. The first thing I looked for was the presence of Security Guards. I was pleased to say that there was one security officer on duty at the front of the building, just inside the entrance. From what I could tell, his main duties were to see that no unauthorized personnel entered the facilities without the permission of a higher authority. The security guard was only equipped with a flashlight, which leads me to believe that if in any case there is some trouble, that he is to contact the police to handle the matter. As far as Guard Patrols are concerned, I was not able to view any of this behavior going on in the day. However I believe that the night security guard might engage in some sort of patrolling in the office area because of the fact that the office was closed after a specific hour of the day.
