What people fail to realize is that in all likelihood the clone will never live up to expectations as this historical figure carried out. For example, if we cloned Babe Ruth, it's not likely the clone would be the best baseball player ever. People must consider that if the clone grew up differently and under a different back round, the clone himself will not possess the skills that his own held. In society, as everybody knows, we like to beat hot topics into the ground, most recently with the Presidential Election. Well if we did clone this historical figure, do you imagine how the media and society would scrutinize and dissect this clone? The clone would be scrutinized and become a media circus from his day of birth. As always there are always people who want to abuse science for power. Can you imagine what Hitler may have done if he obtained the knowledge of how to clone in the 1940's. The realm that this power can and will get into the wrong hands is far more greater the more we toy with the idea of cloning a human.
There are also some serious health risks associated with cloning. Another worry that I with the others who think cloning is wrong is that there is a great possibility that genetic material used from the adult will continue to age so that the genes of the clone could be as old as the donors at the day of birth. This means that if the donor were 25 years old, the newborn clone would be born with 25-year-old genes. In effect, there is a very like chance the newborn will be born with many flaws and abnormalities. Many animals that were cloned in experiments did not survive do to the talked about abnormalities. This further proves that this is still nowhere near a perfect science. These abnormalities may not appear at the exact time of birth, but the mutation of such genes can and most likely will occur further down the road. Another of the possible problems is that the clone will also more than likely grow up with severe emotional problems.
