Why did Britain have an Industrial Revolution?

Why did Britain have an industrial revolution?.
The industrial revolution was a change in the way goods are made using machines and factories. There were many reasons for industrialisation but some causes were more important than others. Some important reasons were transport changes, science and technology improvement and entrepreneurs. .
The three most important reasons I have chosen are science and technology, entrepreneurs and empire. Science and technology helped Britain have and industrial revolution because they made the technology more advanced to bring money into the country. Inventors (each of which had a good education) brought something new out that was always a success, and new machines made production quicker. That leads onto the entrepreneurs. They put their money (they were rich from their own success or background and could afford to do this) into developing factories and production, which brought in money and a lot more profit. This gives us a start to the last most important reason. Britain had an ever-expanding empire. They owned a lot of countries overseas including New Zealand and Canada, many overflowing with natural resources like cotton. We ripped them off by buying their raw materials cheap then selling them back at unreasonable prices. It was also a good way to spread trade. These are more important than the other reasons because they were the old ways converted and maximised. As they got bigger, they brought out all of the lesser reasons such as coal and iron ore. It couldn't be used to its full potential without the science and technology or empire or entrepreneurs. The banks couldn't have "evolved" if there wasn't much money, so the three reasons fused and brought in huge profits, leaving the rise in population stunned and the farms way behind.
The four less important reasons were the improvement in transport, growing population, coal and iron ore and peace in Britain from 1750 onwards.
