... believes all people are interdependent and therefore should work together to build a better world. International cohesion is a base of friendship among nations. However human beings often want to be independent from each other. I think that interdependence is a modern way to live. People would help to each other in various situations. They also would learn and share their experiences. And by the way ... such friendly connections among nationalities would avoid race conflicts. Back to the "Stone Age" early human beings survived because of close connections among their society. Somebody s...

I agree with National Wellness Institute's definition of "wellness". National Wellness Institute defines Wellness as "an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a more successful existence". This means that when person is healthy, he/she is able to clearly see all possible choices in their life, and that he/she is able to logically make the right choices in order to succeed. For example, a person who is under a lot of stress, which may be caused by debts, or may be by family issues, is not really healthy. As the problems continue to build up, a person becomes ill, mentall...

Texas is known for many things, both socially and politically. The death penalty is a very serious issue that we as Texans need to concentrate on in the upcoming election. The Death Penalty has been around forever even back into the dark ages. It is the way that we punish people for crimes they have been convicted of or have confessed. We do not stone people as they did in the dark ages it is much more civilized; it is done by lethal injection. Because of things like over population in the jails, and things of that nature. The belief that the more "hardcore" cases should be put to the maximum p...

These new machines were tested on these wounded soldiers. False hope was the only things that encourage them to use these new machines so they can be normal again. I liked this short story because is realistic, and shows the struggles that soldiers go through when all they want is to be normal again. Th...

"In the higher world form of good appears last of all, and is seen only with effort." -Plato I think that this summarizes a part of life that at least I couldn't summarize in only one sentence. What Plato is describing is how if you work hard, put in lots of effort, you will see results. Goodness only comes when a person wants to see it, and doesn't take advantage of it. When a person works really hard toward something in particular, and is dedicated to it, they will get what they were working for. Plato realizes that this method of getting what you want is possible, depending on the size of t...
