Dreams

Our car came to a slow steady stop in the parking space that was just barely big enough to fit our car. I was glad to finally be here at Six Flags because I had just spent a long boring hour long ride in a car with my mom and three brothers. I had heard nothing for the last hour but my brothers excessive whining and crying over how long the ride was taking and my mom saying every ten minutes how she was going to turn the car around if they did not sit still and be quiet.
We all finally got out of our car having to squeeze ourselves between our car and the other cars around us to get out into the freedom of the parking lot. When I had finally squeezed myself out of the tiny minuscule opening between the cars, I stopped for a minute and looked around the parking lot at all the cars crammed next to each other like the fish in a can of sardines. I let out a long sigh as I thought about just how packed the park was going to be on this hot and sticky day in late summer and how long it was going to be in each of those five mile long lines. .
We had to park in the very back of the massive parking lot, so we started off on our long and tedious walk up to the entrance of the amusement park. It was a hot sunny day without a cloud in the sky and by the time we had reached the entrance we were all sweating like crazy. I started thinking of the thrilling water rides just inside the park and the satisfying cool water that would be splashing on me after riding on them. This thought made me feel a little cooler on this hot summer day.
The next thing we had to do was to walk through the park's metal detectors and be inspected by the security guards. It felt more like we were going into a maximum security prison rather than a fun and enjoyable amusement park .
After the security guards were positive that we were not armed and dangerous killers, it was now time to stand in a mile long ticket line and wait for what seemed like hours before paying a small fortune to get our small little pieces of paper that would allow us entrance into the park.
