American Dream

People think that the American is supposed to be the perfect life. They all want it and they try hard to get it. I can't understand why everyone would want to obtain the American Dream. If everyone wanted the American Dream there would be a whole lot of people just doing the same thing and going nowhere. Personally I want to be different than that. I don't want to be one of those crazy people that are different by being psycho. Most people should think different before they say they want the American Dream.
Some people say they want everything perfect. They want to get perfect grades, go to a perfect college, have the best 9 to 5 career, have 2 and a half kids (I don't know how that works but that is part of the American Dream), have a nice house with green grass, retire at 55 and grow old and fat. That doesn't sound so perfect to me. I want more than that from life and I don't want to be the same. Having the American Dream would probably have something to do with power and money also. Having power and money probably makes living life a stressful habit. Having to deal with all of those people that want to be like you and have to deal with all that cash just hassling you. If you had that much money others would most likely lead you onto a more expensive less traveled rode to a long hard stressful life. With all that stress I would probably not live long enough to survive a retirement at 55. Something tells me that the American Dream isn't all that it is cracked up to be. .
While living the American Dream you wouldn't have to expect anything. There would be no surprises in life (like me turning this paper into you). Nobody would ever get raises cause they already got paid the amount they expected to get paid because they were living the American Dream. Nobody would ever need law because everyone would be working on the American Dream and that does not involve crime. It seems like the American Dream would make the world a dull and boring place.
