Malcom X Essay

He writes of an evening at his childhood home in Omaha, Nebraska where Ku Klux Clan surrounded their home brandishing shotguns and shouting about how Malcolm's father better stop it with his preaching's, get out of town and stop spreading trouble amongst the "good" Negroes. This event marked the beginning of Malcolm's ways of belief that the white man was the black man's enemy.
             As Malcolm continued to grow up he experienced many deaths of both good friends and family members all at the hands of white people and this fueled Malcolm's fire to change things. This seems to be the root of most blacks utter hatred of whites. In so many books by black authors they talk about the deaths of family by whites and this is why they will never forgive white people. Malcolm went to college and then began his career as a civil rights activist and from that moment forward he pushed blacks to revolt and disobey the will of the whites. Mr. X was quoted on many occasions saying that he hated white people and this is why he did not want blacks and whites to coexist in society. He wanted blacks to rise up and become the dominant race in American society. Malcolm X never in his life suggested that blacks and whites should ever try and get along and he truly believed that living together is only going to make the wounds of blacks get cut deeper and remain more permanent. .
             My opinion of this is that this is that his idea is the total wrong way of thinking and that no nation can exist as one nation if it has to large separated groups of its society. .
             Scott L. Malcomson wrote an book called "Having Their Say" which was a story about the black community of Boley, Oklahoma. Malcomson wrote about Boley, Oklahoma because the idea of a community that proposed that a Negro could experience complete freedom, interested him. This town of Boley was populated with only black's which in turn meant it was governed by blacks giving them the chance to live a life without discrimination.
