Economic causes of the english revolution


            The economic causes of the English Revolution started erupting at around .Events from before such as Elizabeth's death and James the first being king and leaving Charles the first with problems such as foreign conflict, crop failures and no Parliament helped lead to the English Revolution. Some of the major people involved were Charles the first, Cromwell, James the second and William and Mary of Orange. .
             Cromwell helped the English revolution because he started the Civil war in 1642 and formed the citizens army because of forced "laws" and extended taxes. In the Civil war the two groups consisted of the Kings side in which nobles, the Anglican Church, and the Roman Catholics joined and In Cromwell's side the Bourgeoisie (middle class), the Gentry (land owners), and the Puritans. Cromwell wins the war and is selected king this leads to the execution of former king James the first and all the members of Parliament leave leaving only sixty members. When Cromwell dies and Charles the second dies too James the second is crowned king. This is a major part playing in the Revolution. Since James the second id Catholic this bothers many people and even further more when they find out that Mary will not be crowned queen (she is protestant) but James new born baby James the third and is baptized catholic. This leads to the Glorious revolution.
             William and Mary are asked to become king and queen of England by parliament when they hear that the new heir to the throne is no longer her but his new born brother James the third. William and Mary of Orange then decide to gather an army and attack the king of England James the second. When James the second calls for his army no one steps up because they are afraid that the pope will start to take over Britain because of James Catholicism. .
             The English Revolution started bit by bit and them kapoom it all of a sudden aroused. The English Revolution had many effects in America.
