This year, there is a course: Research on East Asian Economics taught in English by professor Chung, Duck-Koo, the prime Finance Office Minister, Industry Resource Office Minister in Korea. My strong interest on the path and the future of developing countries, broad knowledge, distinctive ideas, as well as my excellent spoken English attracts the professor, thus I become his teaching assistant, the only few students who become TA as an undergraduate. During the course, I better understand how Korea becomes a prosperous country from a poor one, which urges me to analyze the developing path of China by comparing other countries. In a word, two years of Economics study, though painstaking, provides me a potent instrument to widen my perspective and to better serve the analysis of political issues.
Practice speaks louder than theory. Equipped with both Political and Economical methodology, I am anxious to devote my passion, my concern with the issue of rural China and my knowledge to practice. I have done it. In September 2003, I initiated the students organization: forum of ZheJiang development together with three graduate students from Economic and Sociology Department. ihttp://web.cenet.org.cn/web/zhejiang/ j The organization which has its own formal constitutions, rules, institutions and membership, focus on region research, mainly on the development of ZheJiang Province. We have invited some famous entrepreneurs, government officials and scholars, such as Justive Lin to give lectures and discuss with the students the experience, the problems and the future of local China. And now we are planning a research program in ZheJiang rural places. It is just the beginning of the story c cThis forum will be an important flat roof from which I am going to take off. .
Why Me?.
There are several characters which can distinguish me from other applicants.
A good student should first of all have social responsibility, and I am one of them.
