The last stanza of the poem says "The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep" I believe perhaps the best support for the contemplating suicide theory. ... Finally stating, "miles to go before I sleep", indicating the authors realization that there is much left to do before inevitable death. ...
